Moutain Top Bluegrass Festival is the home of the Mountain Top Band. Band members include Francine Michaels, Chet Hogue , Terry Hall, Jason Erricson and Mark Reid. The band plays a variety of venues and is available to play in your area. Please contact Francine Michaels for further information.

 

Chet Hogue from Kittanning, Pa. took up bass and guitar in the Navy Band. He has since learned to play the Dobro. Chet sells Beard guitars and travels to festivals all over the states. He played in Francine’s band when he wasn’t selling Beard guitars and playing in Limited Edition’s Band. Chet is one of the top Dobro players. Francine is honored to have Chet in her band.

 

 

Terry Hall has been with the Mountain Top Band for 5 years. He plays bass guitar in the band. Terry is a native of Dawson, PA. Terry has sang and played Country and Bluegrass all his life.

 

 

Jason Erricson of Natrona Heights,Pa. Has played banjo since he was 8 and has been in & out of Francine’s band most of his life. He played in LasVegas with The Wood Brother’s for a year, Monroe Crossing in Mich. for 6 months. Jason played banjo on Francine’s “Time Can Mend” C/D. He has won many prestigious banjo awards. Francine is honored to have Jason with her band.

 

 

 

Mark Reid a native of Penn Hills, PA. thrills the audience with his warm and soulful lead vocals and awesome rythm guitar. Mark has been with The Mt. Top Band for 10 year’s.

 

 

Francine Michaels from Tarentum, PA is the nucleus of the band with outstanding lead and harmony vocals in addition to her mandolin playing .Born into a musically inclined family of 14, she sang Country, Bluegrass & Gospel with her family. Francine formed The Mountain Top Band 14 years ago. She taught herself mandolin, then decided to learn the right way, from Butch Baldassari in Nashville.

Francine played for Josh Graves and Kenny Baker , and made 2 CD’s with Josh and Kenny. One with the Mountain Top Band and her latest ,”Rememberance of You” with Eddie & Martha Adcock, Tim Graves, Mike Brantley, and Michael Feggan of Nashville, TN . She has performed in her home state of PA., as well as in Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana, New York. West Virginia, Virginia. Ohio., Florida, and Tennesee.

Francine and husband, Ed held The Mountain Top Bluegrass Festival every year for 15 years. 2008 is the last year for the festival. They could have a concert sometime. Right now they are busy with their campground. When you need a campground check theirs out.
